I know I'm a little early but, I now have my working hours and can now update you with the series' arrival. I will now be working 9am to 4pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. This leaves me with only Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays to work on the series as I'm usually very busy on Wednesdays.
Now, I am currently working on the Christmas Prequel so, the series is sort of "on hiatus" at the moment, meaning the earliest the series will air will be early February. The Christmas Prequel will definitely be online by Christmas Day at least though, so need to worry about that.
The second topic I wanted to discuss with you all is the website survey. It has been running for a few weeks now but, I now want to collect the answers and make decisions for the series and plan towards the second series, which will be served with a new title for its storyline. I'm quite certain you will enjoy what I have in mind for the second series but, it is still quite a while away before it reaches you - Summer/Autumn 2013 at the earliest. I am now setting a deadline for the website survey before I add another at the end of the week. The deadline will be this Saturday - that's Saturday 15th December 2012 - and on Sunday I will be updating the website with a new survey and revealing the results of the first.
Anyway, that's all for now. Thanks for visiting the site, keep voting and I'll speak to you again on Sunday!
Until Sunday, Whovians!
This week, I have some good news and some bad news to share with you. I'm going to start with the bad news as I hope then the good news will soften the blow a bit.
Unfortunately, the series looks like it may have to be pushed back a little as I will have less time to work on it from this week. Tomorrow, I start doing hard labour - something uncommon for me - as I prepare to enter the big bad world of work. I'm not sure on my hours but, it will be at least 2 or 3 days a week meaning I will be left with only 2 or 3 other days to work on the series.
I have also been unable to work on the series this week due to other commitments, so all this adds up to the series being pushed back until maybe February. I am sad to have to deliver this news but, I will continue to work on it as much as I can and hopefully there won't be too long to wait.
Anyway, now to the good news. Today, I have added some exciting new extras to the website. These include: a new slideshow with some new images for the series, a few episode teasers, and an exclusive look at the Christmas prequel. They will appear in the Stories menu with the prequel exclusive in the Prequel menu.
Hope you all enjoy the extras. I'll give another earlier update on Tuesday to confirm my working hours and how the series will be affected. Thanks for visiting the site.
Until next week, Whovians!
Hello again, Whovians!
This is my second post about the series. Unfortunately, I was busy yesterday so the update was delayed until today but, to make up for it, I have a very special announcement about something happening over Christmas.
But first, this. I've been working hard all week and am pleased to announce that Part 1 - Alexa Foster: Mystery Woman is progressing very well. I now have the basic skeleton of the story and have begun writing it up. There are 15 chapters in all, and 2 chapters have been written so far. This means it's looking more likely that Part 1 will be up in time for January. However, I won't be able to work anymore on it over the next week so I'm still not 100% sure.
My first post is just to tell you how far away the series currently is and what my schedule will be like.
So, right now, I am planning and developing the first story of the series Alexa Foster: Mystery Woman. I am about halfway through at the moment: I have created some key points in the story and ordered them, and am currently linking them all together for the basic skeleton of the story. To do this, I am giving myself about 2 to 3 weeks before, I start the big write up.
Unfortunately, I will be extremely busy over the Christmas period so, I won't be able to start writing up the story until after the New Year. However, I am hoping, due to so much planning, that it won't take long and it will be up on the site by the end of January. In the event of any rewrites, it could be delayed until February but, I'll keep you posted as I go along and give you a rough time of completion.
These will be weekly updates, posted every Sunday, until the series finishes - which is expected to be around the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who. I will then begin work on my second series of stories, which will be presented under a new name yet to be revealed.
Until next week, Whovians!
