Hello everyone!
I believe I owe you all some sort of explanation. Last time we spoke - two weeks ago, I believe - I promised some updates to the site. Unfortunately, I haven't had time to complete
this as I have been extremely busy.
I believe I owe you all some sort of explanation. Last time we spoke - two weeks ago, I believe - I promised some updates to the site. Unfortunately, I haven't had time to complete
this as I have been extremely busy.
The reasons for this are: partly because I have been spending a lot of time working on the stories for the series as well as articles for Doctor Who TV; partly because I have been spending time catching up with a lot of TV etc.; and partly due to personal reasons.
That said, it means I have moved further on with the series and have almost finished Part 1 - Alexa Foster: Mystery Woman - and am in the planning stages of Part 2 - Shape-Shifters. However, the series start will remain on Saturday 30th March, which incidentally has now been confirmed as the start date for Series 7B of Doctor Who.
I can now, however, reveal the results of last month (and a half)'s poll. Once again, thank you to everyone who took the time to vote. To make it simpler, as there were quite a few options, I will only announce the Top 5 answers for each question:
Which past companion would you like to see make an appearance?
5th Place: With 6.25% of the vote, is former Eighth Doctor companion, Compassion.
4th Place: With 12.5% of the vote, is Who legend, Brigadier Sir Alistair Gordon Lethbridge Stewart.
3rd Place: With 18.75% of the vote, is former Seventh Doctor companion, Dorothy 'Ace' McShane.
2nd Place: With 25% of the vote, is people's favourite, Sarah Jane Smith.
1st Place: And with 37.5% of the vote, the winner is..... former Fourth and Eighth Doctor companion, Romanadvoratrelundar, otherwise known as the Time Lady Romana.
Would you like to see another version of the Doctor pair up with Eight?
5th Place: With 6.25% of the vote, 'I'm not too bothered about a Multi-Doctor story'.
4th Place: With 12.5% of the vote, is 'multiple Doctors'.
3rd Place: With 25% of the vote, is the 'Ninth/Tenth Doctor'.
2nd Place: With 25% of the vote, is the 'Ninth/Tenth Doctor'.
1st Place: And with 31.25% of the vote, the winner is..... 'A Future Doctor'.
Would you prefer new or already developed monsters/villains in future series?
4th Place: With 0% of the vote, is 'already developed monsters/villains'.
3rd Place: With 6.25% of the vote, is 'Not bothered as long as the stories are good'.
2nd Place: With 18.75% of the vote, is 'create some new monsters/villains'.
1st Place: And with 75% of the vote, the winner is..... 'both old and new monsters/villains'.
So, expect to see some familiar faces as well as some new sinister creatures in the future.
This month's poll is now live, so make sure you get voting on that.
I'm not sure when I will next be able to speak to you, depends on how things are, but I hopefully will be able to give you another update in around a week's time.
Stay Whovians!
